Living Without an Omentum? We need 55 eligible volunteers to complete the study, "Processing Salt with/without an Ometnum".
The Omentum Project is seeking 55 women who have had their omentum removed ("omentectomy") during cancer surgery to participate in an IRB-approved research study examining how women with and without an omentum experience symptoms after consuming a specific salty food.
Could you be eligible?
If you are not eligible, do you know someone who might be eligible?
For every completed study before September 30, 2026, The Omentum Project will donate $25 to one of three participating nonprofit organizations, including the Ovarian Cancer Project, Ovarian Cancer Connection, and now the Colorado Gynecologic Cancer Alliance.
Participation involves a one-time, at-home study of approximately three hours. Participants will eat a specific salty food and record symptoms before and after eating. There is no compensation for participation.
If you or someone you know may qualify, please share this information to help spread the word!
