The first question I am usually asked, is, "What is the omentum"? Very few people are familiar with this organ. It has been referred to as “the quirkiest” organ in your body; it is regularly called “an apron of fat”; it is part of the immune system, the lymphatic system, and may play a role in thermoregulation.
